Through the IG Empower Your Tomorrow community program, we are committed to improving the financial literacy of Canadians in communities across the country.
The IG Empower Your Tomorrow annual giving campaign in support of United Way supports the financial education and literacy efforts of United Way agencies across the country. Groups and programs receiving assistance from the program include Indigenous peoples, newcomers to Canada, seniors, and youth. It’s our chance to join together as a company to give back, and we are excited to be gearing up for another amazing campaign this fall.
IG Wealth Management employee Richard Neill was driven to donate his time and financial support after hearing from United Way of Winnipeg’s Campaign Chair about the significant impact that IG’s fundraising has made.
“The critical work that the numerous United Way agencies do within our communities across Canada, and the difference that they make to so many individuals and families,” says Richard. “It gives me a great sense of pride.”
So many United Way supported agencies across Canada rely on the generosity of others to keep their doors open to the people that need them the most. Every year, one in three Canadians receive support from a United Way agency.
“The United Way impacts so many different people, from diverse walks of life who, without United Way’s support, would be struggling,” says IG Wealth Management’s Esther Bast. “I give as a way to express my feelings of gratitude and to give back to the community that I live in.”
